By Car

From I-90 or I-94, including O'Hare Airport:

Follow signs for I-90/94 to downtown Chicago. Exit at Washington St.; turn east onto the one-way street. After four stop lights, cross the Chicago River; the Civic Opera Building will be on the right. Turn right on Wacker Dr. to reach the front of the building or continue straight for garage parking options.

From I-290:

Follow signs for I-290 to downtown Chicago. When I-290 ends at I-90/94, follow the signs for Congress Parkway. Take the Wacker Dr. Exit, and choose Upper Wacker Dr. After the fifth stop light, the Civic Opera Building will be on the left. There is a legal U-turn lane to reach the front of the building, or turn right at Washington St. for garage parking options.

From the River North area:

Follow Michigan Ave. to Madison St. Turn right and continue to the eighth stop light. Turn right onto Wacker Dr. and use the legal U-Turn lane to reach the front of the Civic Opera Building.

By Train

Arriving at Union Station (Metra/Amtrak, Canal & Adams Streets):

Follow the signs for the Adams Street exit. Walk east, cross the river, and turn left on Wacker Dr. The Civic Opera Building will be one block on your left.

Arriving at Oglivie Station (Metra, Canal & Madison Streets):

Exit the station onto Madison Street and turn left. Cross at the stop light and the river; the Civic Opera Building will be on the left. Turn left on Wacker Dr. to reach the front entrance.

Arriving at Randolph Street Station (Metra/South Shore, Michigan & Randolph Streets):

Walk west on Randolph Street for eight blocks. Cross Wacker Drive and turn left. The Civic Opera Building will be two blocks on your right.

Arriving by CTA Train:

Depending on your train line, exit at one of the following stations: Washington/Wells, Washington/Dearborn, or Washington/State. Walk west on Washington to Wacker Drive. Cross Wacker Drive and turn left for the front entrance of the Civic Opera Building.
